COOLPINS was created in 1999 by Rob Haddix, a talented graphic artist and owner of Data Graphics , a commercial print shop now in Mound House, NV. Rob is a veteran radio control enthusiast who has progressed through the ranks from cars to airplanes to helicopters. One day in the summer of 1999 he decided to make himself a cool frequency pin using the high end equipment available to him at Data Graphics. When he used it the first few times he began to receive requests from his fellow club members for pins of their own, and thus COOLPINS was born.

Rob Flying His Century Hawk
After a few years of providing frequency pins as well as other items and services under the COOLPINS name, Rob dropped the line to make time for other projects.
In 2004 Tom Clark was looking for a source to replace the frequency pins at his flying club and was shown one of the pins Rob had produced. After talking with Rob a few times, CoolPins was reborn.
Thanks for all the help, Rob.
